More Info for Istanbul

The price per person is €1.015.- between 22nd and 27th April 2024 Meet & Paint Aquarelle Workshop with Ilya Ibryaev in Istanbul.

Check in date to the hotel is on Monday 22nd April 2024 earliest 13.00pm. That day is a free for the entire group. Check out date from the hotel is on Saturday 27th April 2024 at the latest time of 11.00am.

The price is per person for the double shared room on bed & breakfast basis, taxes and tuition. There will be 4 days plein air and/or indoor workshops which will be given by the Master.

 

Airport transfers, museums entrance fees and tips are not included. For those who wish to stay single in a room the price will be €1.615,- and those who wish to share with 2 more participants in a triple room the price will be €990 ,- per person.  For those who wish to come with a partner who won’t join the workshop classes the price will be € 750.-. Please check the contact page for the definite reservation conditions.

 

Participants may arrive & depart on different flights, time and airports. Therefore, they must pay their own transfer fees. Transfers costs between Istanbul Airport (IST) or Sabiha Gökcen Airport (SAW) to the Hotel is €50.- each way. We will do our best to make up small groups according to the arrival and departure time of the participants so they can share the cost of the transfer.

The participants can find direct flights for Istanbul with different air companies. Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines have direct flights to Istanbul almost from every country.

 

The workshops are open to all levels from beginners to advanced participants. The medium is watercolor on paper and the languages are Russian, English and Turkish.

Supply List of Materials 

Paper:

If you have some favorite brand of watercolor paper, by all means, use it.  100 % cotton 300g cold press medium grain or rough (Torchon) with sizes from 28 x 38 to 38 x 56 cm depending on your preference.

Brushes:

• Round brush (natural) squirrel, goat or mix No. 10-12, 6

• Round synthetic No. 10-12, 6

• Round brush with a long sharp bristle (liner) No. 4

• Flat flute for watercolors No. 30, 40, 60

If you have a favorite set of brushes, feel free to use them. Oriental calligraphy brushes are also welcome; goat, rat, etc.

Paints:

You can use any professional set of watercolor paints. Small travel kits are NOT recommended. You will need a basic set of colors or you can use your own pre-built palette. Do not forget to also bring masking tape, a tablet for fixing the paper to, a cup for water, a pencil, an eraser and an absorbent sponge. We do not supply easels so feel free to bring your own.
